Currently the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation is raising funds to bring branches of "Ace's Place" to the Tufts Medical Center's Pediatric Emergency Department. We are raising funds to build two play areas in the new PED; one in the waiting area and one inside the treatment area. There, both patients and their siblings can play under the supervision of the hospital's Child Life Specialists. Play reduces the stress for children when an unusual or traumatic event is occurring and frees parents to speak with medical staff and make decisions concerning their child's care.
