NY Rangers visit 9/11 Memorial

The New York Rangers visited the 9/11 Memorial over the weekend of October 7 and 8. They spent time with several members of the NYPD and they toured the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. Jason Vogel, V.P of Sports Operations at the Rangers said, “We were grateful to pay tribute to all those who served so bravely on that day and the days after, and all those who perished on that fateful day. Following the lead of Glen Sather, our group felt it essential to pay specific tribute to Ace and Mark, as they will always be key parts of our hockey fraternity.”

With the help of florist Michael Collerone they were able to do so beautifully by placing flowers at Ace’s and Mark’s names. During the weekend the team was honored to have an audience with Police Chief Thomas Purtell, NYPD Detective Barry Driscoll, and Museum President Joe Daniels. They toured the Museum and afterward placed floral arrangements at the Memorial sites for Ace and Mark.
